As we travel along the path God has given us, we usually connect with others on a daily basis. Some we work with, some are our friends, and many are only acquaintances that we meet briefly or who we run into occasionally. Our closest friends in life can be some of our greatest blessings. Many times, it is a stranger who crosses our path, but all are the beloved sons and daughters of God.
I have never believed in coincidences. Although we can always choose how we accept or choose to interact with others on our path, each interaction whether for a moment or a lifetime is part of our specific plan. God uses every relationship as He teaches us moment to moment how to exchange each moment for a moment of love.
Whoever or whenever we intersect paths with another, our mission as God’s candles is to be His Light to others and to bring Him souls. We do not always see inside the heart of another, but God does. Our hearts must be open to those He brings to us and our job is to love them by listening to them, encouraging them, and praying for them. God has us doing this in different ways depending on our path and what we are to do.
God has a plan for you and for me, and when those paths in our plans intersect, it is part of God’s plan and it has a purpose. Never underestimate what God can or will do when we connect with others. Keep your heart ready and your mind open.
